LOS ANGELES, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Los Angeles based recording artist Alisa Apps has challenged Lady Gaga to a nationally televised sing-off, with a cash prize of at least $1 million for the winner. As part of the sing-off, each artist would perform a series of songs in front of a live audience at either Madison Square Garden in New York or the O2 Arena in London.
"I feel sorry for Lady Gaga - she's just a plastic doll generated by the music money marketing machine," explained Alisa Apps. "I stand for the voice of your heart. Be real with me. Come to my world and feel. I want to hear you and for you to hear me. This contest gives people a chance to choose which they prefer – plastic or real."
Lady Gaga has yet to accept this challenge. Perhaps she doesn't want to be shown up? Regardless, Alisa Apps is determined to see it happen.
In recent months, Lady Gaga has received a series of stinging criticisms. Cultural critic Camille Paglia refers to her as "a plasticized android." According to fashion designer Antonio Bernardo, he refused to make outfits for her as he didn't want to be associated with someone whose music is meaningless.
Alisa wants to heal people with her music. Sickened by the current state of affairs, she wants to bring back love, honesty and passion through her songs and her voice.
