We’re going a little crazy for Halloween costumes today, and Heidi Klum’s big bash hasn’t even happened yet! However, we may have just hit the jackpot. We’ve been wondering what Lady Gaga could possibly dress up as because, you know, she’s Lady Gaga. The answer? Cruella de Vil. Brilliant!
Oh No They Didn’t found some pics from a private party Gags attended, and we are so glad they did. Her Cruella was pantless (obviously), covered in blood and carrying a gun. We love both her two-tone ‘do and amazing coat. Gaga even had an entourage of dalmatians following her! (We also got a kick out of the shot of Gaga and her canine friends scrolling though their phones on the way to party — celebs, they’re just like us!)

Study Lady Gaga -- for college credit
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta may not sound famous, but the University of South Carolina is offering a course next spring devoted to her -- and the sociology of fame.
Apparently one secret to becoming famous is to change your name. Germanotta now goes by Lady Gaga.
What else accounts for the soaring popularity of the 24-year-old global phenom? The question has intrigued and inspired Mathieu Deflem, 48, a sociology professor at the University of South Carolina at Columbia, who plans to teach a course called "Lady Gaga and the Sociology of Fame." He believes it is the only such full-time college course in the country.
He wants to explore what makes a person famous and what being famous means in today's culture. Or, as the course description puts it: "The central objective is to unravel some of the sociologically relevant dimensions of the fame of Lady Gaga."
This course could also be called "Obsession." Dr. Deflem said he was instantly entranced with Lady Gaga when he saw her on "The Tonight Show" in January 2009. Then he went to a concert in Atlanta. That led to his traipsing after her around the world to more than 28 shows. He owns more than 300 of her records on vinyl and CD, most of which are international releases. He has started a website, gagafrontrow.net, a respectful and adoring fan site with pictures and audio downloads of rare Gaga songs.
Dr. Deflem, a native of Belgium, has met Lady Gaga five times, which was easy in the old days (last year), but now he warns on his site: "Do not contact me about how to meet Lady Gaga. I don't know. I met her during meet and greets that were organized at the concerts (during the Fame Ball tour and the early Monster Ball tour), and once, per chance, at an airport. I am not in touch with her nor with her management.)
Still, he harbors hope that she might visit his class. "I will get the word out to her that I'm doing the course," he said, "but it might be logistically too difficult for her to come" because she will be on tour for most of the spring semester.
Her tour includes Atlanta, however, which is about a three-hour drive from Columbia. Perhaps the course will include a class trip.

Lady Gaga Warms Up Irish Fans With Hot Chocolate Treat
LADY GAGA warmed the hearts of her loyal fans in Dublin, Ireland on Friday (29Oct10) by sending out mugs of hot chocolate to all those who camped outside her hotel.
The Poker Face singer is in the city as part of her ongoing Monster Ball tour and a large number of fans have been staking out the luxury Four Seasons hotel in a bid to glimpse their idol.
And as temperatures plummeted on Friday, the star sent out her minders to take a headcount of fans standing in the cold - and then ordered a trolley of hot drinks which were taken out and distributed among her devotees.

GaGa bids au revoir to gigs
EVEN LAGY GAGA is feeling the full force of the French strikes.
The Poker Face star has been forced to axe her gigs in Paris this weekend as disgruntled Gallic folk continue to bring the country to its knees.
She stepped out in London today in typically eccentric style.
GaGa pounded the streets of the capital with a washed out make up job and a pink, fluffy skirt that looked like a flamingo/ostrich hybrid plus a pair of her trademark towering heels.
She ended up in a boozer.
I bet the punters there didn't bat an eyelid.
The singer pulled out of her Paris concerts amid fears protests over President SARKOZY'S plans to raise the nation's retirement age will play havoc with her preparations.
A statement reads: "Unfortunately, as there is no certainty that the trucks can make it to the Bercy for this weekend's shows, the Lady Gaga performances are now postponed.
"Lady GaGa apologises to her fans for any inconvenience."
The shows have been rescheduled for December 19 and 20.

If you were watching Elton John on The View this morning, you might have heard him mention that he’s planning to release a duet with Lady Gaga. It’s something he’s alluded to before, but now EW can report exclusively that the track, called “Hello, Hello,” will appear in the upcoming Disney animated film Gnomeo & Juliet, which is being produced by Sir Elton and his partner, David Furnish.
The charming pop track plays during the moment where the two lead characters, lawn ornaments named Gnomeo (voiced by James McAvoy) and Juliet (Emily Blunt), meet for the first time. The film hits theaters on Feb. 11, 2011.

So Did Lady Gaga Really Get "Committed" to Boyfriend?
By now you might have seen the bizarro claim in the blogosphere that Lady Gaga is ready to settle down.
The story, as perpetrated by Grazia magazine and widely picked up by gossip sites, says Gaga and her bartending boyfriend Luc Carl participated in a secret "spiritual commitment" ceremony on the Greek island of Crete last week, where they supposedly exchanged handwritten vows to "show that they are committed to each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together."
So is Gaga ready to become a missus?
While Grazia insists it's all but a done deal (proclaiming, "They are still planning to marry, but that will come later when she has the time to plan a big Italian-style wedding"), Gaga's rep is insisting otherwise.
"It's completely untrue," Gaga's publicist tells E! News.

Lady Gaga buys back unreleased music from auction
Fans eager to purchase unreleased Lady Gaga songs due to be auctioned online this month will be disappointed because [the] singer bought them back.
For an undisclosed amount Lady Gaga purchased six CDs and a DVD that her first manager, Bob Leone, was selling in the auction of nearly 860 celebrity items.
Some of the items were autographed and featured unreleased songs dating back to a 2002 demo recording when Lady Gaga was the shy teenager Stefani Germanotta. Minimum bids for each were $1,000.
"She wanted to purchase them. We sent her an offer on behalf of Bob Leone. She countered and we made a deal," said Peter Siegel, co-founder of GOTTA HAVE IT! Collectibles, Inc., which is running the auction.
He added that Leone had never attempted to copy them and make them public.
Although there had been bidding interest in the Lady Gaga songs that were pulled, Siegel said he did not expect them to be one of the top sellers in the auction.
The Lady Gaga songs were not the only items that were pulled from the auction at www.gottahaverockandroll.com from October 6-15. Last week the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) seized a set of John Lennon's fingerprints.
The FBI said the fingerprinted application card for Lennon's permanent U.S. residence, consigned to the auction house by a promoter to be sold for at least $100,000, appeared to be a missing government document.

New Lady Gaga Song: Is it Really Her?
Gaga fans have waited almost a year since the release of The Fame Monster for more of the Lady's hits. They will have to wait a little longer for her forthcoming album, due to be released next year, Born This Way. But in the meantime, Lady Gaga may have given them a taste of what's to come.
A new track, Nothing On (But The Radio), has made its way online. The song sure sounds a lot like Gaga, but sources have yet to confirm its authenticity. As Music News Daily reports,
It is unsure as to whether the track will feature on the singer's new album "Born This Way" and when asked by Gigwise, a spokesperson for Lady Gaga refused to comment on the songs authenticity.

Lady Gaga Challenged to Sing-Off by Newcomer Alisa Apps
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Los Angeles based recording artist Alisa Apps has challenged Lady Gaga to a nationally televised sing-off, with a cash prize of at least $1 million for the winner. As part of the sing-off, each artist would perform a series of songs in front of a live audience at either Madison Square Garden in New York or the O2 Arena in London.
"I feel sorry for Lady Gaga - she's just a plastic doll generated by the music money marketing machine," explained Alisa Apps. "I stand for the voice of your heart. Be real with me. Come to my world and feel. I want to hear you and for you to hear me. This contest gives people a chance to choose which they prefer – plastic or real."
Lady Gaga has yet to accept this challenge. Perhaps she doesn't want to be shown up? Regardless, Alisa Apps is determined to see it happen.
In recent months, Lady Gaga has received a series of stinging criticisms. Cultural critic Camille Paglia refers to her as "a plasticized android." According to fashion designer Antonio Bernardo, he refused to make outfits for her as he didn't want to be associated with someone whose music is meaningless.
Alisa wants to heal people with her music. Sickened by the current state of affairs, she wants to bring back love, honesty and passion through her songs and her voice.

Surprise! Teenage Lady Gaga Graces The Sopranos
It takes a lot more than witnessing the contents of an office go waterborne to shock Lady Gaga these days.
Though that, apparently, was all it took for 15-year-old Stefani Germanotta to collapse into giggles.
Old video featuring the girl who would be Gaga resurfaced this week much to the delight of fans and no doubt the chagrin of the pop star. The footage comes from episode 9, season 3 of The Sopranos, which first aired on April 22, 2001, and shows Gaga eating pizza (fairly shocking), speaking without affectation (very shocking), and—ready for this one?—wearing pants (there are no words).
Enjoy.

Lady Gaga's Former Manager Recalls Singer's Transformation
Long before there was Lady Gaga, there was Stefani Germanotta, the dark-haired up-and-coming singer/songwriter from New York. Her manager at the time, Bob Leone, knew that girl. And in a new interview, he explains that the brazen, in-your-face performer you see these days was once a shy, unassuming singer who had a hard time even getting onstage.
"She was painfully shy — very different from who she is now," Leone told People.com. "She came to the open mics with her mother twice before she built up the courage to go onstage. ... She was prodigy-like. She was clearly a very good songwriter and keyboard player."
The former director for the Songwriters Hall of Fame, who is auctioning off memorabilia from Gaga's early career, including six CDs of early recordings and a pair of demo discs from her first days as Lady Gaga, worked with Gaga for several years and managed her for six months in 2006.
Leone says that Gaga went through one very important transformation in 2006. "It was a very important six months because going into it, she was Stefani, and she was still writing pop music. By the end of that six-month period, she was officially Lady Gaga."
"She blew everyone away," Leone further recalled of an artist showcase in which Lady Gaga appeared that year. "Nobody talked about anything after that show but Lady Gaga. She bantered with the audience and was very funny. I never noticed that sense of humor when she was Stefani."
And it seems that even four years ago, Gaga knew exactly what she wanted. "Whenever someone asked her, 'what is your goal?' she would always give the same two-word answer: 'world domination,' " he remembered. "She's got it [now]!" he added.

Mick Rock talks about shooting Bowie, Lady Gaga and why he's collaborating with John Varvatos
On Saturday (Oct. 2), legendary rock ’n’ roll photographer Mick Rock turned the Santa Monica Bloomingdale’s men’s department into a backstage lounge.
Rock, who launched his career in the early ’70s shooting Ziggy Stardust-era David Bowie, flew out from New York to christen the John Varvatos shop in Bloomies by shooting portraits of shoppers who shelled out more than $250 on Varvatos jeans and Converse sneakers. Rock was also promoting his latest book, “Mick Rock: Exposed,” signing copies for customers.
In a nearly four-decade career, Rock has shot music icons ranging from Lou Reed and Iggy Pop to Madonna, Bono and Lady Gaga. He also dabbles in fashion and has shot Kate Moss, so he’s more than cool with partnering with designer Varvatos. “People say why are you doing this?” he says. “One, John [Varvatos] is a friend of mine. Two, he crossed my palm with some silver. And three, I got a bunch of free clothes.”
Rock chatted with All the Rage, while getting ready for his close-ups.
You've worked with David Bowie since Ziggy Stardust -- in the days before musicians had stylists.
David is much more than music and it always was with him. He was long, long ahead of everybody. He was so prescient. He had influence on all kinds of things like makeup on women – Ziggy Stardust makeup.
Who else did you enjoy working with?
Debbie Harry. In her prime, she was extraordinary -- there’s nobody -- all due respect to Madonna and Lady Gaga.
Kate Moss?
I shot her raw and rock ’n’ roll for V magazine. It was Johnny Rotten meets Debbie Harry.
She’s smart. There’s an old English phrase: There’s no flies on Kate Moss.
What’s the difference between rock ’n’ roll and fashion photography?
Rock ’n’ roll is an attitude. Even though I get people in incredible clothes, it's a lesser concern than the personality.
[In "Mick Rock: Exposed," we look at a suave Bryan Ferry wearing a tropical khaki suit] This is great men’s style.
That was in Holland Park, London, in 1975. Ferry's "our man in Havana" look.
Lady Gaga?
She has an echo of Ziggy Stardust in there. She’s musically talented. It’s a mistake to trivialize her because there’s been so much of it.
[We look at a picture of Ronnie Spector flashing her underwear]
There's Ronnie Spector in her knickers. I might not have published that if she were wearing a thong. It wasn’t about gettng a cheap thrill.
What bands do you enjoy shooting now?
I love the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I love the KiIllers. ... I love the Scissor Sisters.
Which of your portraits is John Varvatos' favorite?
Syd Barrett [Pink Floyd's tragic founding member, who passed away in 2006].

Lady Gaga and Elton John: Working together on the pop queen's new album?
Will Elton John make an appearance on Lady Gaga‘s forthcoming album Born This Way? It seems very possible. EW recently spoke to Elton about The Union, his album collaboration with legendary pianist-songwriter Leon Russell, which hits stores Oct. 19, and the Rocket Man couldn’t help but bring up his love for all things Gaga. “I love her, and I love her ability to write,” he says. “I love the songs she writes.” A collab between the pair—who’ve become bosom buddies since performing together at January’s Grammy Awards (pictured here)—is a good possiblity. “I’d love to in the future,” John says of working with her. “I’d love to do that.” Then he elaborates: “There’s a chance I might do one track with her [for Born This Way], but it’s just, she’s so busy, and I’m so busy, we can never get together!” But, he adds, “I’ve already heard [Gaga's new album], so I think it’s more or less done. [Born This Way is expected to be released early next year.] Her record—it’s f—ing amazing. ‘Born This Way,’ which is the title song, will completely get rid of Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive.’ This is the new ‘I Will Survive.’ That was the gay anthem. This is the new gay anthem. Actually, it’s not a gay anthem—it can apply to anybody.”

The New Forbes Power Women
When it comes to power, cultural impact means as much as money and political influence.
Forbes' power lists are synonymous with moguls and movie stars, heads of state and captains of business. One look at the 2010 World's 100 Most Powerful Women list and it is clear that we've come up with a new ranking of the female power elite that reflects the New Order of now.
View full list HERE
When we set out to identify this year's list, we decided it was time to look up and out into the broader culture. Our assessment is based less on traditional titles and roles and more on creative influence and entrepreneurship. These power women have built distinctive companies and brands and championed weighty causes, sometimes through unconventional means; in other cases they have broken through gender barriers.
We divided our power women candidates into four groups: politics, business, media and lifestyle (that is, entertainment, sports and fashion). We ranked the women in each group, and then group against group. Not easy, but that's today's reality: an unpredictable, diverse mash-up of hard power (currencies and constitutions) and dynamic power (audience and audacity).
Why else would Lady Gaga (No. 7) and Ellen DeGeneres (No. 10) share top 10 billing with Michelle Obama (No. 1), Irene Rosenfeld, CEO of Kraft Foods ( KFT - news - people ) (No. 2), Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (No. 5) and Indra Nooyi of PepsiCo ( PEP - news - people ) (No. 6)? If anything, it's inspiring.
We included many heads of state and hopeful candidates, but we also have queenmakers who don't hold office, first ladies of various sorts, Surpreme Court justices and cultural icons, bankers and bestselling authors. We rely on these women for, yes, managing our money, creating paychecks and governing at home and on the international stage, but also what we eat, download, talk about around the dinner table and the causes we support. What we think and how we act.

Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber nearing 1 billion YouTube views
Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are both approaching a major milestone of the new music industry: one billion all-time YouTube views.
Lady Gaga should pass one billion views around October 20 if she continues on her current pace, according to David Birch, communications director at TubeMogul. During September, she averaged almost 1.8 million views per day.
Birch says Bieber will surpass the 1 billion views milestone around November 1 if he keeps up his current pace. During September, Bieber's videos were viewed about 3.7 million times per day.
After Lady Gaga and Bieber, the next closest artist is Michael Jackson at around 600 million views, says Birch.
Even though Lady Gaga will be the first to the one billion mark, TubeMogul data shows that lately Bieber has been the hotter of the two and has been YouTube's most-viewed music artist. From July 1 to September 28, according to TubeMogul data supplied to Billboard, Bieber averaged 3.98 million daily views to Lady Gaga's 2.04 million views per day.
Bieber has been hot since winter. Since February 28, Bieber has averaged 3.83 million daily views while Lady Gaga has averaged 2.53 million. To put their numbers in perspective, Kanye West has averaged 271,000 daily views in that time period.
But what really stands out is the consistent performance of Bieber's videos. In April, TubeMogul began "Most Viral Videos of the Month" to highlight the most-viewed videos -- including unofficial versions -- in a given month. Nearly 9 in 10 of all videos to make the list have been music videos, and Justin Bieber has been the one constant month after month. He had four of the top 10 videos of the month from April through August.
Both artists have many of YouTube's all-time most-viewed videos. Bieber's "Baby" is YouTube's most-watched video of all time with 345 million views. His "Never Let You Go" is No. 22 with 92 million views while "Never Say Never" is No. 28 with 86 million views.
Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" is No. 2 all-time at YouTube with 288 million views. "Just Dance" is at 11 with 123 million views, "Alejandro" is 26 with 87 million views and "Telephone" is 31 with 85 million views.
YouTube views include videos in the Vevo network but not Vevo videos viewed at Vevo.com. Vevo CEO Rio Caraeff has stated that YouTube accounts for about 90 percent of Vevo's views. Videos by both Bieber and Lady Gaga are shown on Vevo.

Lady Gaga shows off her assets onstage with Yoko Ono, exposing her rear end in a sheer jumpsuit
Lady Gaga took the stage with Yoko Ono on Saturday night, and the pop star gave the crowd much more to admire than the duo's famous faces.
Gaga, 24, dressed in an outrageous bedazzled one-piece jumpsuit to join forces with Ono's "We Are Plastic Ono Band."
The singer's outfit deliberately flaunted her rear end, covered only by sheer panels of fabric and a smattering of crystals.
Sporting a pair of lace-up black boots with sky-high heels and a black headband embezzled with spikes, Gaga towered over a grinning Ono, 77.
The concert at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles kicked off what will be a week of events in honor of Ono's legendary late husband, John Lennon, whose birthday is October 9.
The Beatles singer, who was killed in 1980, would be turning 70.
The Grammy Museum unveil its exhibit: "John Lennon, Songwriter" on Monday and Ono will be on hand Monday night for the West Coast premiere of the documentary "American Masters: LennonNYC."
If she thought Gaga's cheeky attire was disrespectful to her late husband, Ono didn't show it, grinning and hugging the megastar during the show.
Ono's costume wasn't quite as outlandish as Gaga's, but the veteran singer and artist did have fun with her outfit, donning an oversized military-style hat and tight pants.
Last week, Ono said she was thrilled to get back onstage.
"I have never done a show in L.A.," she told the LA Times, "so I am very happy to be finally doing it."
Her revived band, which began 40 years ago, now also includes her son Sean Lennon.
Posting a picture of herself with Sean, Lady Gaga tweeted about the concert to her fans on Saturday night.
"WE ARE PLASTIC ONO," she wrote. "I got to sit in as a guest musician tonight, what a legendary band+mother, Yoko."
